Synthesis of conducting polyaniline and its compounds was carried out by chemical oxidative polymerization method using ammonium persulfate as an oxidizing agent. During polymerization of aniline, 10wt%, 20wt%, 30wt% and 40wt% Strontium dinitrate Sr(NO3)2 was added to modify the properties of polyaniline. Prepared samples were characterized by FTIR (Thermo Fisher Model Nicolet iS5) spectroscopy for the analysis of functional groups present in the composites. The sharp peaks at 705 and 855.8 cm-1 are the characteristic peaks of Sr(NO3)2. XRD studies clearly show the change in structural properties with increase in the concentration of Strontium nitrate in composites. The electrical properties were characterized by Keithley 2450 source meter. Linear I-V graph shows ohmic contact and electrical current decreases with the increase in the concentration of the Sr(NO3)2. This result may be due to the creation of grains created by the Sr in the composites. These obtained results were discussed and presented in this paper. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
