Abstract—Biodiversity-based approaches are at the forefront of creating new varieties in soybean production. In this paper, we analyzed the natural variability in the population of cultivated soybean varieties used in breeding in the Russian Federation using genome-wide association studies. Genome regions that control the protein and oil contents in seeds, as well as productivity, have been identified, many of which have not been described previously. These results open the way to the design of new markers for marker selection of this crop. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
