Abstrakt: Our previous study had found that plasma retinol levels were decreased in atopic dermatitis (AD).[5] Since AD and psoriasis are one of the common inflammatory diseases,[6] we detected plasma retinol in psoriasis. The above findings suggest that plasma retinol is a reliable biomarker to assess the disease severity of psoriasis in a long term by evaluating the oxidative stress status of the body. As previous results showed that GPP, but not PV, had a significantly decreased plasma retinol concentrations compared with healthy controls (Table), we followed up GPP patients in this part.
