In our third article, "Liminal States of Disorienting Dilemmas", Matthew McConn and Donna Geetter highlight the challenges and learning processes of two teacher candidates during their semester of student teaching. The authors describe how the candidates, prior to beginning their student teaching, espoused particular philosophies of teaching but then reverted to more traditional practices when faced with practical realities (such as student apathy) of the teaching experience.
