The article focuses on the results of diverse research concerning the fishing rights of indigenous peoples in regional seas and oceans. It mentions the fishing rights of indigenous peoples have been and continue to be defined and delineated by nation states; and also mentions in addition to the UNCLOS regime, global governance of the seas includes at least four other regimes at international or regional levels related to biological diversity, fisheries, human rights, and maritime trade. |
