Gejia batik has a high research value with long history, rich patterns and shapes, deep meaning, with the dual nature both in culture and art. The pattern types, modeling characteristics and composition rules of pattern in Gejia batik in southeast Guizhou province was analyzed systematically through field investigation by combining physical induction and literature materials, and the possibilities for the combination of the Gejia batik patterns and modern fashion were explored. The results showed that Gejia batik pattern has rich subject matter, clear outline of pattern shape, simple external and complex internal, orderly lines and rigorous pattern composition. Its application in modern clothing should follow its own modeling rules, and the application path of Gejia batik pattern in modern fashion can be constructed from local application to comprehensive application and from two-dimensional plane to three-dimension.
