The present study was conducted a questionnaire survey involving pharmacists at Shinano Pharmacy where the authors work, in an effort to secure an isolation facility for patients with infectious diseases at a next-generation pharmacy. Most pharmacists (87%) indicated that they needed to have an isolated waiting room in the pharmacy for patients with infectious diseases. Pharmacists，opinions on what is needed for the next generation of pharmacies were as follows.1)Isolation is necessary from the doorway to separate from the general patients. 2) Toilets and medication tables should also be separated from those of general patients. 3) Private rooms divide by various infectious diseases. 4) The present study also considers other opinions. In conclusion, most pharmacists stated that they are aware that next-generation pharmacies need a waiting room for patients with infectious diseases. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
