Abstrakt: A mucocele is a well circumscribed painless swelling within the oral cavity. They rarely resolve on their own and surgical removal under local anaesthesia is required in most cases. Various treatment approaches are described in the literature. The objective of this article is to review and report a case of a mucocele involving the lower lip of a six year old boy which was excised using a diode laser and examined for histopathological analysis with a follow up of one year.
