The article explores the enigmatic tale about the sons of God in the book of Genesis 6:1-4. Topics covered include the two main approaches to the understanding of the passage, an elaboration of the oldest explanation of the sons of God as angels in the Book of Enoch, and the connection between archaeology and the narrative about marriages of divine beings and human women resulting in the birth of giant heroes. |
