Abstrakt: Contrary to most other tendon transfers, there is a usually a surplus of tendon length to allow for an overlap of at least 3 cm. Regardless of suture technique used, this should suffice for immediate active extension of the thumb. First, the mechanical strength of the Pulvertaft weave tendon repair was different between extensor tendon ([9]) and flexor tendon repair ([1]). Further study is needed to determine the optimal rehabilitation strategy after extensor indicis tendon transfer for extensor pollicis longus tendon reconstruction. [Extracted from the article]
