Abstrakt:	THe article discusses the role of social media in the 2009 Iranian protests. Topics covered include the death of Neda Agha-Soltan, a young Iranian woman who was shot during a protest on June 20, 2009, which functioned as a catalyst that captured the energy of the youth-driven protests, and evidence that social media had played a significant role in both unifying the protestors and communicating their message to the world outside Iran.
