Keywords: Blepharoptosis; external ptosis repair; hang-back EN Blepharoptosis external ptosis repair hang-back 232 232 1 05/11/20 20200601 NES 200601 Dear Editor, We read with interest the study "Comparison of non-absorbable silk and absorbable polyglactin sutures for external ptosis repair" by Johnson et al.[1] They demonstrated that non-absorbable sutures require less post-operative revision compared to absorbable sutures. These results with non-absorbable sutures are supported by Johnson I et al i .[1] Furthermore, our paper[2] noted that intraoperative suture adjustment for suture height has a good efficacy profile. In conclusion, we condone the use of "hang-back" sutures for suture adjustment in external ptosis surgery, if non-absorbable sutures are used. [Extracted from the article] |
