Abstrakt: The article discusses the results of a study on the role of riboflavin and pyrroloquinoline quinone in stimulating the production of carbon monoxide as endogenously gasotransmitter. Topics mentioned include the regulation of inflammation and vascular tone by carbon monoxide, the use of carbon monoxide in the treatment of preeclampsia, and the influence of carbon monoxide on human placenta microsomes.
