Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) form a mutualistic association with higher plants in all habitat. Several studies have been reported the AMF association and diversity within species, including rambutan (Nephelium lappaceum. L). Surprisingly, there is no information on AMF diversity in rambutan tangkue cultivar originated from Banten Province. In order to investigate the different AMF associations, spore density, and diversity, soil rhizosphere samples were collected from rambutan tangkue plantation in Cilayang Banten. This research was conducted from July 2018 to January 2019. The AMF spores were trapping and extracted by wet sieves and decantation techniques. The results showed that the spore density varies between 2012-372/100g of soil. Four genera of AMF has been successfully isolated: Glomus, Acaulospora, Gigaspora, and Scutellospora. Glomus was the most dominant genus in the rambutan Tangkue rhizosphere. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
