Abstrakt: Background: Chronic Infectious-inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract are often associatedwith lack of immune protection factors and innate immunity, which is largely due to the clinical and immunological state of Pirogov-Valdeyer lymphatic pharyngeal ring. However, research in this area is not enough to conclude that changes in the state of tonsils are significant, indicating the relevance of the research. Materials and methods: We investigated the contents of secretory and monomeric forms of IgA, lactoferrin, α-interferon and interleukin-1β in secret of oropharynx in 11 children with pharyngeal tonsil hypertrophy, in 10 children with adenoiditis in the acute stage, in 15 children after adenotomy and in 10 healthy children of similar age. The reagents of the companies «Cytokin», «Diagnostik Nord», «Rider Lab line» were used. The statistical analysis was performed using the U (Wilcoxon) criterion. Results: The lowest level of indicators characterizing local protection (immunoglobulins, interferon) were identified in children with adenoiditis and after removal of the pharyngeal tonsils. The highest concentration of proinflammatory cytokines was found in the secretion of the oropharynx in children with adenoiditis. Conclusion: The obtained data testify that the clinical status of the pharyngeal tonsil significantly affects the local immunity of the oral part of the throat of the examined children. Some children after adenotomy require immunorehabilitation measures. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
