Developers must define keyboard navigation for nearly all their applications. This is time-consuming, hard work; but, as many developers point out, it is essential for most applications. In this paper we present a new model for defining keyboard navigation which gives developers a framework in which to think about keyboard navigation and allows navigation to be more consistent and easier to define for large applications.
