Upgrading Bartholin's abscess management using novel technologies? Infection of the Bartholin's gland duct, a common health issue affecting 1-2% of women (Omole et al. I Am Fam Phys i 2003;68:135-40), frequently requires surgical drainage of the formed abscess with antibiotic cover. Novel technologies are being evaluated for managing abscesses in outpatient settings across disciplines (Ladde et al.
