The article compares the effects of modern and conventional deodorant actives 2-methyl 5-cyclohexylpentanol and triclosan on the axillary microbiome. It mentions the analysis of the relative microbiome composition revealed that triclosan had a significant impact on the composition of the microbiome and caused a significant shift in abundance; and the skin microbiome has underlined a lack of information about the impact of antimicrobial ingredients on the natural axillary microbiome. |
