Hay fever patients often complain of intolerance symptoms from ingestion of various nuts and fruits. It has been studied that such complaints were mainly found in patients with springtime hay fever, e.g., patients sensitive to pollen from deciduous trees, of which birch is the most important in Sweden. This article aims to elaborate the relation between FS and various forms of other allergies in an adult allergic population. All patients, mainly adults, with bronchial asthma and/or rhinitis referred to the outpatient clinic for allergological investigation during 1973, were asked to fill in a questionnaire regarding FS and allergic symptoms from acetylsalicylic acid compounds. |
