University education today is expected to provide both solid professional training and a wide range of skills that are essential in the 21st century. As forms of work in modern universities, problem-based learning, case studies, project work, task-based approach and teaching through drama stand out with their innovativeness, creativity and the potential to enhance students’ skills for active learning and teamwork. Their implementation in foreign language teaching, in accord with the principles of the action-oriented perspective, is a powerful incentive to boost efficiency and the sense of achievement and satisfaction in the learning process.
