Paraquat is recommended for weed control as post-emergence (POE) to weeds but being non-selective herbicide, is sprayed only at 5-10 % emergence of the potato crop. Visual weed control ratings were recorded at 14 days after herbicide application (DAA) to know the extent of control of different weed species by different herbicides based on weed infestation in weedy treatment. Effect of weed management treatments on weed biomass, yield attributes, tuber yield at harvest and quality during autumn 2016 and 2017 Thus, it may be concluded that POE application of clodinafop plus metribuzin 260-375 g/ha applied at 20 DAS provided effective weed control and maximum tuber yield and was safe to potato crop.
