| Abstrakt: |
-Thalassemia major ( -TM) is an inherited blood disorder where affected patients need lifelong blood transfusions. No association was observed in HLA-A and HLA-DRB1 genes with -TM in this study. Our study showed that the HLA-B*46 allele was positively associated with -TM, while HLA-B*60 was negatively associated with this disease in the Malaysian population. [Extracted from the article] |
