The article discusses the benefits of relationships and network-building for feature film production in Central and Eastern Europe. According to producer Katarina Tomkova, the communist-era drama "Servants" was made out of a deal based on personal relationships and friendships among actor Vlad Ivanov, Romanian producers Oana Bujgoi and Tudor Giurgiu and composer Cristi Lolea. Other films resulting from network-building include "The Last Ones," directed by Veiko Ounpuu. |
