Comprehensive and well-illustrated descriptions are provided of ophthalmic conditions in travellers. These include sunlight exposure and damage to the eye; aircraft travel and the eye (the dry eye, contact lens wear, travel following eye operations, ocular changes at altitude); the red eye, contact lens care and complications; ocular injury (minor trauma, corneal and other foreign body injuries, major trauma, damage to the ocular adnexal tissues); the eye and drugs and toxins; and specific infections affecting the eye.
