Abstrakt: The article focuses on the investigation of 10q24.32 locus and discovery of a 339 bp Alu insertion polymorphism (rs71389983) in complete linkage disequilibrium with the schizophrenia GWAS risk variant rs7914558. Topics include depiction of genetic architecture of schizophrenia for understanding of pathophysiology of schizophrenia, the significant associations with schizophrenia shown by the chromosomal 10q24.32 region and identification of rs71389983 within the 9th inlron of the AS3MT gene.
