Abstrakt: The article discusses that bio-based, renewable fuels and chemicals can reduce the environmental footprint of maintaining global transportation and product demands. It mentions a diverse toolbox of technologies exists to produce biofuels and chemicals, with the primary routes summarized in some of the latest and least carbon-intensive technologies; and also mentions an interesting processing route for biomass consists of gasification and conversion of the syngas.
