Abstrakt:	The article discusses that health care in the West has become so compartmentalized and subspecialized that the human person seeking care has been divided into small pieces and the whole person has become lost in technology, bureaucracy, and third-party payers. It mentions the key for setting a sacred space is a purposeful attitude of openness and not-knowing of what needs to happen for the encounter; and also mentions the quality of the space can have direct correlation with medical outcomes.
