In this paper, an interpretation of oversea evidence-leased guidelines for entaral nutrition support in the adult critically ill patients was made from aspects of nutritional assessment, formulation of nutrition support strategies and gastrointestinal tolerance monitoring. Three guidelines were analyzed, including Guidelines for the provision and assessment of nutrition support therapy in the adult critically ill patient : society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) and American society for Paenteral and Enteral Nutrition (A. S. P. E. N.), Early enteral nutrition in critically ill patients : ESICM clinical practice guidelines, ESPEN guideline on clinical nutrition in the intensive care unit.
