Abstrakt: Purification of recombinant PreS2-S protein, the surface antigen of human Hepatitis B virus (HBV) expressed in Bombyx mori larvae (silkworm) cells is described. The method includes homogenization of the silkworm larvae in special buffer, ammonium sulfate gradient precipitation, separation of protein fractions using ion exchange (DEAE Sepharose FF) and size exclusion (HiLoad 26/600 Superdex 75 pg) chromatography.
