Oral & perioral piercing has been an age-old tradition among people throughout the world including India. Until most recently seen among the youth primely, apart from various tribal communities- as signs of traditional norms, maturity in adolescents, trend setting or various cultural & religious faith. Being an extremely painful process, it possesses various complications that are deleterious & can be overcome to a larger extent with proper counseling and post-operative care.
