In addition to determining the physical activity levels of children, it is emphasized in many studies that it is necessary to reveal the gains of physical activity and why it is necessary. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between physical activity levels and emotion control status of 8th grade students in terms of different variables (gender, participation in active sports, income level). In the research, relational survey model was used. Research group; A total of 371 eighth grade students (Myaş = 14.466 ± 0.57027), 196 women (52.8%) and 175 men (47.2%), attended different schools. As a data collection tool; (a) Personal Information Form, (b) Physical Activity Scale for Children and (c) Courtauld Emotion Control Scale were used. In addition to descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and correlation analysis technique were used to determine the relationship direction and level in independent groups. As a result of the analyzes, significant differences were found between physical activity levels in terms of gender and active sports participation, and no significant difference was found in terms of emotion control levels. In addition, there was no significant difference in physical activity and emotion control levels in terms of income level. As a result of correlation analysis, no relationship was found between physical activity levels and emotion control levels. As a result, it was concluded that the level of participation of children in physical activity is not directly related to emotion control status, but gender and active sport participation are important variables in increasing physical activity levels.
