Abstrakt: Healthcare-associated ventriculitis and meningitis (HCAVM) is associated with adverse clinical outcomes in the majority of patients [[1]-[3]]. Interestingly, patients with Gram-positive HCAVM had higher proportion of having a positive nasal MRSA PCR screen ( I p i = 0.007). HCAVM remains associated with adverse outcomes in the majority of patients and even though patients with Gram-negative HCAVM are sicker than those with Gram-positive infections, outcomes are the same.
