The article reports that Advisory Conm1ittee on Immulization Practices (ACIP) has released new recommendations for the use of meningococcal vaccinations in children with sickle cell disease. It mentions two quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccines named MenACWY-D (Menactra) and MenACWY-CRM and also highlights an increased infection risk in sickle cell disease stems. |
