Abstrakt: | The article offers information related to Virginia Woolf was an English writer, considered one of the most important modernist 20th-century authors and also a pioneer in the use of stream of consciousness as a narrative device. It discusses how Woolf, challenges the identification of profanity with the war front, by tracing profanity's use in civilian discussions in Britain, she reveals the division between frontline profanity and home-fire prudery to be a false one. |
