The Impact of the Mind Map in Reading Comprehension in English Language Learning.

Abstrakt: The present research's main focus is to determine the impact that mind maps have on reading comprehension in English language learning. A particular problem that stands out in English language learning is; understanding the texts that are being read, and identifying relevant information. A reason for this is that learners are not aware of reading strategies that could help them analyze and synthesize the information. Exploiting the learner's visual intelligence, the particular strategy chosen to examine is the mind map; which is a graphic organizer that is described as visual, colorful, creative, and easy. The research includes a problem statement: background objectives, research questions and reasons for carrying out this research. Furthermore a theoretical framework that introduces concepts of key words and variables, as well as support from previous investigations, and results that other researchers have interpreted.
