The application of a new optimization method, based on the instantly optimal control theorem to the problem of controlling dynamic systems by the example of controlling the vehicle’s transmission gear ratio with unsteady motion to minimize acceleration to a given speed is considered. Using this method, the solutions to determine the optimal change law in the transmission gear ratio, formed by the phase coordinates’ current values, which allow the algorithm to be implemented in real time, are obtained.
