Abstrakt: We propose herein a new free-space optical communication system for rail-guided industrial vehicles using two types of optical fibers as downlink/uplink communication lines. This system aims to realize a highspeed real-time communication for such vehicles. We explain herein the concept of this system and report on a basic evaluation of the communication quality.
