Abstrakt: Continuous patient monitoring has achieved high relevancy both in hospital and in residential environments. Previous works have presented a noncontact, robust and easy device for the monitorization of heart rate (HR) and respiration rate (RR) for patients lying in bed based on a specklegram induced in a Plastic Optical Fiber. This work present a comparative of different fiber optical cores diameter, which defines the speckle signal. This changes the number of modes that the fiber propagates and consequently defines the speckle size. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
