Abstrakt: Electronic absorption spectra of complex tungsten ions were recorded at 400–650 ℃ in the melts based on NaCl–KCl–CsCl eutectic mixture. Tungsten-containing melts were prepared by hydrochlorination of tungsten dioxide in the melt. Analysis of the spectra showed that the reaction of WO2 with HCl mainly led to the formation of W(V) ions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
