It is an important content to intercept sub-launched acoustic homing torpedo in application research of ship-borne anti-torpedo torpedo(ATT). The intercept principle of ATT was summarized against direct searching trajectory and homing tracking trajectory of sub-launched acoustic homing torpedo. It was pointed that different intercepting modes should be adopted. A concept was proposed on critical distance while ATT attack mode was changed,and theoretical derivation and simulation plotting were carred out according to three typical situation such as stopping,navigating keep original state and turning away from torpedo. The numerical simulation and law analysis on critical distance were carried out. The research result shows that the critical distance is objective,and its change is regular partly with the evasion maneuver mode of surface ship.
