Abstrakt: An inspiration came from examining a copy of a very rare mineral book in Herb Obodda's famous library, written by a German author, Kasimir (Casmir) Christoph Schmiedel: I Erz Stüffen und Berg Arten i (Ore Specimens and Mine Types). I am most proud of our reprint of Gautier d'Agoty's I Histoire Naturelle Règne Minéral i (1781), so rare that I no i complete copies survive, but between several major libraries we were able to assemble their parts and reprint a complete copy. Many of the antiquarian books in the library are in original contemporary bindings, but because the library is intended to be used for research, such bindings have not been a priority in acquisition. These days, a mineral collector can build an excellent home library based only on the newly published mineral books that come out each year. [Extracted from the article]
