Abstrakt: The article presents information about lymphangiectasia. Lymphangiomas are almost always congenital, with growth appearing soon after birth. Acquired lymphangioma or lymphangiectasia represents an acquired lymphatic dilatation secondary to external cause, often caused by a spectrum of scarring processes. Clinically and histologically, the acquired lesions are indistinguishable from those that arise de novo, and the differentiation is often made on the basis of clinical history. Lymphangiectasia has also been described in association with keloids, scleroderma and scarring from scrofuloderma.
