Abstrakt: Diabetic foot syndrome is a multifactorial condition, which often requires surgical intervention to heal. Ultra distal revascularisation and minor amputations are a valid therapeutic protocol for limb salvage in forefoot lesions involving the bone. Frequently, this approach implies a residual lesion that can be healed with various devices, such as negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), engineered tissues and dermal substitutes. Recently, a new sodic-salt DNA fragments (SSDF) preparation became available, which aims at exerting the tissues' reconstructive action through cytokines production and nucleotide synthesis. This study aims to evaluate the usefulness of SSDF in accelerating the healing rate of diabetic residual lesions in the foot. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
