The project "Who Makes and Uses Lace" is the result of the collaboration between the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies with Ethnographic Museum - BAS, the informal group SedyankaTA and my idea to arrange an exhibition dedicated to the people who create lace. The realization of the concept made me part of a complex amalgam of relationships of the various institutions involved in the project - the informal group, some colleagues and the people who create or preserve lacework together with the transmission of the skills to make it. The success of the exhibition demonstrated ample opportunities for the inclusion of different communities in the museum experience. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
