Abstrakt:	Besides additional fabrication costs, residual stresses have been the cause of some technological disasters. As explained by Lachmann et al. [[6]], among these techniques, measurement of residual stresses by X-ray diffraction (XRD) is being employed quite widely, both in research and in the industrial environment. Li et al. [[8]] assessed the effect of the roughness of the surface of a stainless steel component on the results of measurement of residual stresses by X-ray diffraction.
