Abstrakt: The article discusses that nearly half of U.S. newborns and new moms at risk of influenza or whooping cough hospitalization or death. It mentions that all pregnant women should get a flu vaccine during any trimester of each pregnancy and the whooping cough vaccine; and also mentions that getting a flu shot reduces a pregnant woman's risk of being hospitalized due to influenza by an average of 40 percent.
