Abstrakt: The article reports on a study by Elis Newham at the University of Bristol and his colleagues which determines the evolution of the warm-bloodedness of mammal ancestors using the mammaliaforms Morganucodon and Kuehneotherium that lived in the Early Jurassic period. Topics include the reptile-like traits of the mammals found in the study such as being cold-blooded and having long lives and slow metabolisms and the findings of other study suggesting the lack of indirect evidence for endothermy.
