Psoriasis and vitiligo are common diseases and can occur in the same individual. The histologic examination on the tissue specimens of our patient suggests that he had both diseases. The features in this patient suggest that he acquired vitiligo during the resolution of his psoriatic plaques while undergoing topical psoralen plus ultraviolet A light therapy. The histopathologic findings of patient's skin biopsies suggest that normal-appearing skin adjacent to an active spreading vitiliginous lesion indicates that cellular immunity could be involved in the initiation. |
