B PURPOSE: b Exertional dyspnea is a cardinal feature of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and a major cause of activity limitation. B CONCLUSIONS: b Although the reduction in exertional dyspnea was similar between the two bronchodilator therapies at week 3, G/I provided greater immediate exertional dyspnea relief than TIO alone. B CLINICAL IMPLICATIONS: b Dual bronchodilation provides acute exertional dyspnea relief compared to bronchodilator monotherapy but this effect was not sustained at week 3.
