Abstrakt: At enrollment, physicians reported their assessment of asthma control and patients completed an online Asthma Control Test (ACT); both completed the 5-point Global Evaluation of Treatment Effectiveness (GETE). Physician-reported control status and treatment effectiveness were informed by patient verbal reports (49% of patients), lung function testing (44%), in-office ACT (40%), or recent exacerbations (39%). Physician and patient assessments of treatment effectiveness frequently aligned, although patients were more likely to report effectiveness. [Extracted from the article]
